For Journeys in STEM, graduate students discuss their paths to becoming a scientist. We hope to increase the accessibility of scientific research as a career path for students, since many students, especially those from under-represented backgrounds, might not realize research is a career option. We also aim to decrease the barrier to enter STEM by outlining the steps needed to become a research scientist.
